The health minster’s tour was intended to assess entire health care system within various counties. She held meetings with county health teams, hospital management teams. Partners, health workers, civil society organizations, women groups, and superintendents. She also had an interaction with the patients and community members.
During the assessment tour, health Minister Dr, Wilhelmina Jallah assured health workers about the ministry’s effort in reaching out to partners for seed funding that will address the immediate essential drugs shortages within the health sector. She emphasized the need for counties health team officials’ advocacy to donors for the erections of solar plates at referral hospitals and solar suitcases at various health clinics as a way of buttressing government’s effort.
The minister also advised the counties health team officials to take the lead in collaborating with the health ministry before the formulation of contracts with partners and implementing partners to avoid future embarrassment from donors and implementing partners on projects.
She appreciated all health practitioners who are dedicated in the service of providing quality health care to Liberians in the remotest part of the country.
The various counties health officers CHOs and health workers in the various counties applauded the minister for her farsightedness and her professional thoughts of rechecking or reaching out to knowing the health Statius in the counties.
They praised the minister for her selfless leadership style and hope that she continues checking on facilities in the counties.
