(Zammie Town, Rivercess County, April 21, 2025)— In a collective effort to enhance community health service delivery, the Rivercess County Health Team, in partnership with Last Mile Health, convened a two-day retreat for District Health Officers (DHOs) and Community Health Services Supervisors (CHSS) in Central C Health District.
The retreat focused on reviewing and improving the performance of community health assistants (CHAs) and CHSS across the county.
The retreat brought together key stakeholders, including DHOs, CHSS, County Health Team (CHT) supervisors, and the leadership of Last Mile Health’s Rivercess County office.
Participants assessed the status of community health service delivery, supervision practices, and the management of health data at both the community and facility levels. It aimed to identify gaps and boost the effectiveness of the National Community Health Assistant Program at the grassroots level.
Officially declaring the retreat open, Mr. Nathaniel Benson, District Health Officer for Central C Health District, welcomed participants and lauded the CHT and Last Mile Health for selecting his district as host.
