MOH and Partners launch Radio Program
The first ever radio program after decades has been launched by the Communication Unit of the Ministry of Health. The Radio program which was launched on May 3rd, 2016, is being sponsored by FARA USAID and the World Health Organization as part of their support to the ministry. The latter and partners are working tremendously to build a resilient Health system, that will be able to manage shocks.
Appearing at the launched of the program was, Health Minister Dr. Bernice Dahn and Deputy Minister Tolbert G. Nyenswah.
The pair said, they were grateful to FARA USAID and the WHO for their continuous support to the health sector in reducing the pervelence of diseases that are threatening the lives of our people and the Nation as a whole.
Dr. Dahn and Minister Nyeswah also added that with this new program, the people of Liberia will be adequately informed about how the health sector works and will further promotes a healthy lifestyle among the population. Minister Dahn and her deputy Nyeswah also renewed their promised to do all in their capacities in building a resilient health care system.
Since the launch of the program which is named and styled, Health Talk, it has been playing hosts to several health officials and doctors on major issues happening in the health sector and prevention on diseases threatening the lives of the population.
Many listeners have voiced out their thanks and appreciation to the ministry and partners for the launch of the radio program, which they said has become a positive platform for them.
Apart from the Radio Program, the Communication Unit has also taken charge of producing the quarterly publication of the ministry’s newsletters, which captures major happening in the ministry during the quarter.
